UofM SPH Dean Speaks on Preventive Health at City View – Camilla Towers

August 19, 2025 — Dr. Ashish Joshi, Dean of the University of Memphis School of Public Health (UofM SPH) visited City View – Camilla Towers near downtown Memphis to speak with residents of the senior citizens community.

Dean Joshi’s talk focused on preventive health, encouraging attendees to prioritize daily habits such as balanced nutrition, quality sleep, regular physical activity and stress management.

As part of his ongoing community outreach, Dean Joshi regularly engages with community groups and healthcare organizations to share insights about the School of Public Health’s curriculum and its nationally and internationally recognized achievements.

Dean Joshi’s visit reflects the University of Memphis School of Public Health’s commitment to community engagement, as well as the promotion of public health preventive practices to help empower individuals to take charge of their well-being, while reinforcing the SPH mission to improve health outcomes locally and internationally.
