UofM SPH Hosts Fall New Student Orientation

August 21, 2025 – The University of Memphis School of Public Health welcomed new undergraduate and graduate students at Fall Orientation on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the UofM Community Health Building on the Park Avenue Campus. Also in attendance were current students, faculty, staff and alumni.

The SPH Dean, Dr. Ashish Joshi offered his opening remarks and shared information about the recent developments taking place at the SPH. Dr. Marian Levy, Associate Dean of Public Health Practice and Community Engagement and Professor in the Division of SBS, offered her remarks, encouraging new and current students to get involved with SPH initiatives and events. Other SPH faculty and staff gave their introductions and spoke to students about what to expect during the semester. 

The event was followed by a SPH Mixer where students had the opportunity to connect with their professors and peers.
