UofM SPH Coordinates Community Service Project Meeting in Hickory Hill Area in Southeast Memphis

September 2, 2025 - UofM School of Public Health (SPH) Community Outreach Representative, Steve Shular, coordinated a meeting for a community service project in the Hickory Hill area in southeast Memphis. 

The meeting included Ms. Andrienna Hill, Neighborhood Watch Coordinator for the Memphis Police Department’s Ridgeway precinct as well as Dr. Alicia Barnes, with University of Tennessee Behavioral Health and Dr. Tony Lugemwa of the Memphis Health Center. 

This was the first in a series of meetings to identify social services needs for school children in the Hickory Hill area. The SPH will be identifying other partners for the project which will initially involve students at Crump Elementary School.
