As part of the ASPPH webinar series, Dean Joshi served as a panelist in a discussion highlighting the latest work of ASPPH’s Task Force for the Responsible and Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence in Public Health Research, Practice, and Education, which is dedicated to supporting the ethical, equitable and innovative integration of artificial intelligence across public health education. 
In the webinar, Task Force leaders provided updates on the group’s ongoing activities and shared insights gained from cross-sector collaboration. They presented the first draft of the Executive Summary, which outlines guiding principles and recommendations for the field. 

Participants learned how AI can enhance teaching, learning and professional practice while emphasizing a strong commitment to responsibility and public health values. 

The webinar served as an opportunity to stay informed about ASPPH’s leadership in shaping the future of AI in public health. 

Participating panelists, Dr. Ashish Joshi, Dr. Kerry Mitchell, Dr. Courtney Queen, Dr. Abdul Shaikh, Dr. Daniel Smith and moderator Jamie Atchison are part of the ASPPH AI Task Force.  Dr. Laura Magaña, PhD, MS, President & CEO, ASPPH provided closing remarks.
