Healthcare Leadership

Thursday, 05 March 2026

March 1-5, 2026 - The University of Memphis School of Public Health (SPH) Master of Health Administration (MHA) students attended The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) 2026 Congress on Healthcare Leadership which took place on March 1–5, in Houston, Texas.

The conference focused on empowering healthcare executives with tailored education, networking, and strategies to navigate industry complexities.

MHA students participated in expert-led sessions on topics such as strategic partnerships, leadership development and innovation. They also had the opportunity to meet with Travelle Ellis, MD, PhD, of Exact Sciences, a speaker at the event. UofM MHA students attended the session “Leading the Future of Cancer Screening Innovation, Efficiency, and Equity in Health Systems where core public health principles, along with health management strategies, are applied to eliminate barriers for colon cancer screening. This session provided insight into how strategic partnerships and technology-driven models are used to drive earlier detection, expanded access across diverse populations, and unlock greater operational efficiency, ensuring that innovation translates into real-world impact.

This was one of the many opportunities in which our students engaged with Health Administration professionals in up-close, personal conversations.
