Dr. Lucia Linares Joins SPH International Public Health Diplomacy Advisory Group

Dr. Lucia Linares, has joined the University of Memphis SPH International Public Health Diplomacy Advisory Group, which brings together global health leaders, diplomats and policy experts dedicated to advancing the intersection of public health and international relations.

Dr. Lucia Linares is a Project Manager at the European Health Forum Gastein. Among other projects she is responsible for Young Forum Gastein (YFG), which since 2007 enables promising early-career professionals to actively participate in the annual EHFG conference and become part of an inspiring network of health professionals working in the public & private sector, civil society, and science & academia across the WHO European Region.  

Previously, Lucia worked on multilateral health and security policy, developing and implementing policy as well as supporting Member States and partners with capacity building at the UN, NATO, and the EU's diplomatic service (EEAS).  

Prior to this, she read for a doctorate in political thought while also working as Editor-in-Chief of the Cambridge Review of International Affairs and volunteering in programme and partnership roles for several national and international NGOs. Lucia holds a BA (Hons) Degree in History and Politics from the University of York, and an MPhil in Politics and International Studies and doctorate from the University of Cambridge.
