The University of Memphis School of Public Health (UofM SPH) hosted its annual Career and Internship Fair under the directive of the Office of Experiential Learning and Career Services for the SPH.
The Career and Internship Fair welcomed 50 students and 23 community partners who engaged with students and discussed potential opportunities, such as volunteering, internships, practicums and jobs. The SPH Career Fair showcased the support and opportunities by our community partners to elevate student success.

Through the SPH Office of Experiential Learning and Career Services, students can participate in professional development workshops that help equip them with practical experience to become job market ready.

Students came prepared with resumes and networked with community partners to learn more about their organization's offerings.

“I’m an administrative intern at Medicos and I am getting my master's in healthcare management at the School of the Public Health, and I have the opportunity to hire students. The funny thing is I attended the SPH Career Fair in the fall and that’s how I got my current internship.”
- Binoy Patel, MPH Student and Intern at Medicos.

SPH boasts over 200 community partnerships with local organizations, including governmental and non-governmental agencies, in the City of Memphis, the State of Tennessee and beyond. These community partnerships, serve as a cornerstone of the work of SPH and help create new opportunities for SPH partners and students.

“I came to the career fair last semester during the fall, and I got the opportunity to work at Church Health, for an internship, as I further my education in Healthcare Administration and I came to the Spring Career and Internship Fair to see what jobs are available in the workforce after I graduate.”
- Fatmata Bah, MHA Student

The School of Public Health would like to extend a special thank you to our community partners for joining the SPH Career and Internship Fair and we look forward to welcoming other local partners and students to future SPH events.
