UofM SPH Hosts Third Public Health Fall Career and Resource Fair

The University of Memphis School of Public Health (UofM SPH) hosted its third Fall Career and Resource Fair on September 17, 2026, marking the sixth School of Public Health career fair overall. The Career and Resource Fair reflects the school's ongoing commitment to experiential learning, career readiness, and community engagement, creating opportunities that benefit both students and community partners while preparing the next generation of public health professionals.
The event was organized by Zoë Henley, Coordinator of the Office of Experiential Learning and Career Readiness (OELCR), which is housed within the School of Public Health. OELCR serves as a dedicated career and professional development resource for School of Public Health students, complementing the services provided by the University of Memphis Career Services. 25 community partners were in attendance as well as 29 students representing a wide range of academic backgrounds from within the School of Public Health. 

The Public Health Career and Resource Fair continues to support students’ professional growth in public health by fostering meaningful connections among students, public health employers, healthcare organizations, government agencies and community partners. Through these interactions, students gain valuable insights into career pathways, experiential learning opportunities, internships and employment opportunities while strengthening their professional networks within the public health field. 

Since the inaugural School of Public Health career fair in Spring 2023, these events have helped expand partnerships with 150+ organizations across healthcare, government, nonprofit and community sectors.
