The Arnold School of Public Health at University of South Carolina Invites Dean Joshi for Leadership Focused Fireside Chat

The Arnold School of Public Health at University of South Carolina’s inaugural “Pull Up a Chair” Leadership Conversation to Feature Dean Ashish Joshi.

The Arnold School of Public Health will launch its new Voices in Leadership Program with a fireside chat featuring Dr. Ashish Joshi, Dean and Distinguished University Professor of the University of Memphis School of Public Health, on October 14, 2026. 

The event is designed to foster meaningful dialogue on leadership, innovation and the future of public health. During the conversation, Dean Joshi will share insights from his career as an internationally recognized researcher, educator and academic leader, reflecting on how scholarship and leadership can work together to advance research, education and community impact. 

During the discussion, Dr. Joshi will share insights on leadership, research, innovation and community engagement, drawing from his experience as an internationally recognized public health scholar and academic leader. The conversation will highlight his work in strengthening research culture, advancing community impact and pioneering K–12 public health education initiatives that inspire future generations of public health professionals. 

Attendees will also hear Dean Joshi’s perspective on the future of public health education and practice, including the opportunities and challenges presented by artificial intelligence, workforce development, and evolving community health needs. 

The program will conclude with an audience Q&A and networking reception, providing participants an opportunity to engage with a leading voice in public health innovation and leadership.
