School of Public Health Signs MOU with CISEPO to Expand Global Public Health Diplomacy
Partnership with Canada International Scientific Exchange Program (CISEPO) will advance education, research, experiential learning and international engagement
The University of Memphis School of Public Health has signed a memorandum of understanding
with the Canada International Scientific Exchange Program to strengthen collaboration
in public health diplomacy, global health practice, and international engagement.
The agreement establishes a framework for educational, scholarly, and programmatic initiatives designed to build capacity in public health diplomacy and prepare students to address complex global health challenges through cross-cultural collaboration, research, and applied learning.
Through the partnership, UofM SPH and CISEPO will support the development of experiential, competency-based training opportunities for students, as well as curriculum modules and case studies focused on public health diplomacy. These efforts will help equip future public health professionals with the knowledge, skills, and global perspective needed to navigate health challenges that extend across borders.
The MOU also opens the door for expanded research partnerships, faculty engagement, and collaborative programming that position UofM SPH as a growing leader in public health diplomacy education and practice.
By connecting academic expertise with international collaboration, the partnership reflects the school’s commitment to preparing students for leadership in a rapidly changing global health landscape while advancing meaningful, solution-focused engagement around the world.
