The Pivot Project Offers Survey on Awareness of Data Stored in Vehicle Infotainment Systems

Modern vehicles can store significant amounts of personal information, including contacts, call logs, and location history. In some cases, this data may remain accessible even after a vehicle is sold, a lease is returned, or access is lost due to theft or an accident. This survey aims to better understand public awareness of these issues and identify potential risks.

The survey takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete. Your responses will help inform research efforts and support the development of practical solutions to enhance data protection and user awareness. Participation is entirely anonymous, and no identifying information will be collected. Aggregated results will be shared on the PIVOT website.

We greatly appreciate your time and participation. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@pivot-auto.org.
