Tiger Tracks: Join the Wellness Journey- October 2025

Welcome to Be Tiger Well Month, your go-to hub for all things wellness on campus! This October, we’re coming together to celebrate, support, and strengthen our community’s well-being—mind, body, and spirit. Explore events, connect with resources, and discover how you can Be Tiger Well.

Mission Statement:

Be Tiger Well Month is a campus-wide initiative dedicated to promoting holistic wellness through collaboration, education, and engagement. We believe that when we care for ourselves and each other, we all thrive.

Our Goals:

  • Unite departments and student groups around wellness.
  • Highlight existing wellness programs and services.
  • Launch new initiatives that support student success.
  • Foster a culture of care and connection.

Events Calendar

There are a wide variety of events and challenges involved in the Be Tiger Well Month campaign and a few events highlighted below. Please click here for the full schedule!

  • Kickoff Event-
    • Wednesday, October 1st 11:00-2:00
    • UC Alumni Mall 
  • Mindful Mondays– Weekly guided meditation sessions on the Student Health and Counseling Servicse social media @UofMSHCS

  • Tiger Trek– Document your campus-wide walking activities and places! 

  • Fuel Up Friday– Free healthy snacks and nutrition tips in the UC RZ! 

  • Wellness Fair

    • Wednesday October 8th

    • Meet campus wellness partners both on campus and off to explore resources of the 8 dimensions of wellness! 

🐯 Be Tiger Well Challenge

🎯 How to Participate

Join the Be Tiger Well Challenge by completing activities across different areas of wellness throughout October. Each time you complete a challenge, log it using the form below. Participants are encouraged to complete at least 5 wellness activities and submit a form for each item. Completion earns a Wellness Package, available for pickup October 30–31 in the University Center Relaxation Zone Room 227. 

Steps to Participate:

  1. Choose a wellness area (e.g., Physical, Emotional, Social, etc.).
  2. Complete one or more activities listed in that category.
  3. Submit your entry using the form below.
  4. Repeat as often as you like—each submission counts!
  5. At the end of the month, if you have completed the Be Tiger Well Challenge, pick up your Be Tiger Well Box!

What You’ll Share:

  • Your name and email
  • The wellness area(s) you participated in
  • The specific activity you completed
  • Optional: a photo or reflection

🎯 Wellness Challenges

Not a conducive list, if you find an activity that promotes an area of wellness submit it! 

🏋️ Physical Wellness

  • Attend a fitness class or use the campus gym
  • Walk 10,000+ steps in a day
  • Swim at the university pool
  • Join a Tiger Food Lab or nutrition session
  • Focus on hydration, show us you using your different water bottles! 

🧠 Emotional Wellness

  • Join a Less Stress Success session
  • Use the 30-day wellness journal
  • Sign the Gratitude Wall
  • Paint and share a centering stone

🤝 Social Wellness

  • Attend a group event or club meeting
  • Join Homecoming or intramural events
  • Cheer on a campus team
  • Design your dorm room door with Wellness Inspo

💰 Financial Wellness

  • Attend a financial wellness session with First South
  • Meet with a financial advisor
  • Apply for a scholarship
  • Use a local discount or coupon
  • Complete open enrollment (Oct 8 – Employee Benefits Fair)

🌿 Spiritual Wellness

  • Visit a meditation or nature space
  • Try a mindfulness app
  • Attend a music performance or vision board session
  • Join the Nature Walk event
  • Visit one or both Relaxation Zones

📚 Intellectual & Occupational Wellness

  • Attend a study skills or tutoring session
  • Make an appointment with Career Services 
  • Explore majors at “Discover Your Major Day” (Oct 2)
  • Attend a lecture outside your major

🌎 Environmental Wellness

  • Join a campus clean-up or visit the Tiger Garden
  • Attend the Sustainability Fair
  • Bike to campus or use recycling stations
  • Plant a seed or start a garden

🎁 Be Tiger Well Box

Complete challenges and earn a BeTiger Well Box featuring:

  • Be Tiger Well Straw Cup
  • First aid kit
  • Brain stress ball
  • Tissue pack
  • 60-minute massage chair coupon for the Relaxation Zone
  • Mini cutting board & oven mitt
  • Foam Finger
  • Mental health stickers
  • and more!

Be Tiger Well Boxes will be available for pickup October 30–31 in the University Center Relaxation Zone Room 227.
