The Staff Senators at the University of Memphis are elected by staff members to serve as representatives within the University and its various divisions and units.

The Staff Senate serves as an advisory body to promote the general welfare of the University and acts as a communication vehicle for University staff members.

MEETINGS

Staff Senate meetings are held on the third Thursday at 9:30 AM of every month in the Senate Chambers in the University Center. These meetings are important for addressing staff concerns, facilitating communication, and developing recommendations to support University staff. All UofM staff are encouraged and welcome to attend.

As the President of the University of Memphis Staff Senate, I am committed to transparency and the principles that guide our organization. This commitment to transparency is essential for fostering trust and ensuring that all university community members are informed and engaged.

As an alumnus and an employee of the University of Memphis, I understand firsthand the critical role of staff in shaping our campus environment. Our dedicated staff members are the backbone of this institution, providing essential services and support that enhance the educational experience for students and faculty alike.
