About Amy Salerno Hale
Amy received her BFA in Theatre from the University of Memphis. She spent over sixteen wonderful years as the Production Stage Manager and Volunteer Director at Theatre Memphis, working alongside an incredible team of stage managers, devoted volunteers and outstanding community artists. A recent addition to the UofM Theatre & Dance staff, she looks forward to creating great theatre with the department faculty, staff and students. She is particularly keen to support the artistic endeavors of her colleagues with thoughtful administration and invest time mentoring a new generation of stage managers.
In addition to her work in theatre, Amy is also a gifted event manager, having served in leadership roles producing the National Civil Rights Museum’s annual Freedom Awards, local documentaries, filmed workshops, and conferences. Creative and collaborative community-building efforts are important to Amy. There is great beauty and strength as each individual works within their area of giftedness to contribute to the whole.
