2024 Parent & Family Spring Day FAQs: Frequently Asked Questions

When is the 2024 Parent & Family Spring Day?
Parent & Family Spring Day is Saturday, February 3, 2024, in conjunction with the Memphis vs. Wichita State Men's Basketball game.

How do I register?
Registration will close on or before Monday, January 29, at 11:59 pm CT, depending on if we have reached space capacity. The registration site allows you to purchase your game tickets and family mingle tickets for yourself and each person who will attend with you. When you purchase a Family Mingle ticket, your student gets free entrance to the Family Mingle.

  1. On the ticket site, you will first be asked to add your game tickets to your cart.
  2. You will select the section and seats as well (a seat map is provided).
  3. Next, you will see the option to add-on your Family Mingle tickets. Do not forget this step! You will not be able to go back and add the Family Mingle tickets separately after you check out!
  4. You will indicate if you are a UofM Alumnus, enter your student's name, and if you are registering any youth (10 years and younger) for the Family Mingle, you will need to list their names and ages in the appropriate section provided.
  5. Enter your card information and check out.

As a reminder, the site has a 6-minute checkout timer. You will receive a warning at the 2 minute mark. If you need additional time to complete your order, you have the option to restart the timer as many times as needed (before it zero's out). Once the timer reaches zero, your cart will be cleared and you will have to start a new cart.

Do I need to buy a ticket for my student?
Students can attend the Family Mingle for free with your Family Mingle ticket purchase. If you would like your student to sit next to you at the game, you will need to purchase them a game ticket in your same section and level.

Can I bring my younger children and siblings?
Spring Day is for the entire family and not just parents. Many families will bring siblings of all ages, grandparents, aunts, uncles... everyone! Please keep in mind that all family members must be registered in order to participate in the scheduled events. Youth 10 and under can attend the Family Mingle for free with your Family Mingle ticket purchase (max. 2 youth per adult registrant). Youth must attend with a parent, family member or guardian.

What if I can't attend the Family Mingle, can I still attend the game?
Yes, you can purchase game tickets only.

What if I want to attend the Family Mingle and not the game?

Unfortunately due to limitations imposed by our new ordering site, the Family Mingle tickets can only be purchased as an add-on when you select at least one game-ticket. We have no control over this new site structure, but hope to find a rememdy for future events.
