Research Interests
Plant-microbe interactions are studied to help understand hormonal regulation of plant growth and development. Of particular interest is the biosynthesis and function of cytokinins in microorganisms. Current projects involve the isolation and characterization of cytokinin genes in cyanobacteria and the characterization of cytokinin production by rhizobia and other plant-associated microbes.
