Mission Statement

The Center for Community Criminology and Research (CCCR) is housed within the Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice at The University of Memphis, Lambuth Campus, Jackson, TN. The mission of the CCCR is threefold.

First, the CCCR serves as a clearing house for the dissemination of information for those interested in achieving a reduction in crime and delinquency.

Second, the CCCR provides sound statistical information in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of local, county, and state social justice/criminal justice systems.

Finally, the CCCR facilitates low cost professional development opportunities for the benefit of social justice/criminal justice agencies at the local, county, state, and regional levels.
