Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering honors faculty, students, and alumni at banquet

The Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering held its annual awards banquet at the Memphis Botanic Gardens on Thursday, April 30.
Chair Dr. Rouzbeh Nazari greeted attendees, including representatives from industry partners such as Turner, Gresham Smith, LDA Engineering, A2H Engineers, Architects, Planners, and the City of Memphis, and provided departmental updates and explained research opportunities in civil, construction, and environmental engineering.
Dr. Shahram Pezeshk received the 2026 Outstanding Faculty Award in Service. Alireza Barkshaee and Alireza Eskandarinejad won the 2026 Outstanding Graduate Student awards, and Matthew McBride, Zack Daniels, David Oppong, and Justin Avent were honored as 2026 Outstanding Alumni.
