The goal of this center is to address critical issues affecting the planning, design, operation, safety and equity of the nation's multimodal transportation system in order to increase our nation's economic competitiveness and reduce economic, racial and gender inequality.

C-TIER is a member of the USDOT UTC Freight Mobility Research Institute (FMRI).
