PhD Admission Requirements
Guidelines
- A Baccalaureate or Master's degree from an accredited institution.
- Undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on the US 4.0 scale.
- Submission of an online Graduate Application through the Tiger Tracks Portal.
- Submission of all Required Materials
- Resume
- Statement of Personal Career Objectives
- Three (3) Letters of Recommendation
- Department Financial Assistance Application
Transcripts
- Official Transcripts from all previously attended colleges or universities.
- Transcripts are used to verify that the minimum admissions standards are satisfied for admission.
- You will need to submit unofficial or official transcripts from every college or university attended except
the University of Memphis.
- To expedite the review process, please upload an unofficial transcript to your application.
Please make sure your transcript shows that the degree was awarded.
- The Graduate Admissions Office requires official transcripts (paper or electronic) from
all schools attended. Official transcripts must be sent directly from the Registrar
at your school to the Graduate Admissions Office, following the instructions on the Graduate Admissions website.
- Official GRE or GMAT Test Scores
- Minimum GMAT score = 600
- Minimum GMAT score = 600
International Students - must submit all of the above + additional International Students specific requirements.
Admission to the Fogelman College's PhD program is based on:
- a thorough review of the qualifications of the applicant,
- space availability in the program, and
- fit between the Department program objectives and the applicant's objectives.
For students without a master's degree, equivalent scores based on undergraduate GPA are required, and students may be admitted initially to the graduate master's program.
