Finally, the weather is cooling off...a tad 😊! For our September blog, we are featuring exciting 901 Day activities, festivals, shows, and wonderful musical performances! All are great ways to kick off fall in the 901!!
There are so many events to add to your calendar! Dive into this month’s blog edition. And as always, we look forward to seeing you around Memphis!
#1. 901 Day is a whole vibe in our city!
Let’s celebrate our city! There are so many wonderful events and parties going on; from the 901 Market in Overton Square, 901 Day in the Ravine, 901 Day Indie Music Fest, 901 Day Community Mural with Paint Memphis, 901 Day with the Redbirds, Marketplace in Motion at Railgarten, and the list goes on and on!

#2. Let’s go to the theatre & see a show!
Memphis has a great theatre scene so there’s always a great show to catch at one of the playhouses. Some of this month’s features are very popular classics like Sister Act, A Raisin in the Sun, The Crucible, and several more. Shows sell out quickly, so grab a ticket and enjoy the show!
#3. The 34th Southern Heritage Classic is September 7-9!
The Southern Heritage Classic is back! This 3-day event is a good time!! Not only can you expect a great game between football rivals ARKANSAS-PINE BLUFF and TENNESSEE STATE, but this historic event also includes Battle of the Bands, tailgating, concerts, college and career fairs, golf, brunch, and luncheons.
#4. Ferris wheels, cotton candy, turkey legs, & good times!
You know it’s fall when the fair rolls into town! We have 2 great options for September: The Delta Fair from September 1-10 & The Mid-South Fair from September 21 - October 1. Grab your friends and family, purchase some tickets, and have a great time!
#5. Parties at the Pyramid
This iconic rooftop party happens the last Friday of each month through October, so there are only 2 more parties left for 2023. Don’t miss the September party taking place on the 22nd!
#6. Zoo Rendezvous = The Ultimate Throwback 90’s Party
So, have you ever been to an absolutely amazing party at...a Zoo? 😊 Well here’s your chance! The 38th annual Zoo Rendezvous is happening on September 9th! Wear your 90s best and dance and eat the night away!
#7. It’s Festival Season in the 901!
So, we all love a good festival, and Memphis has such an amazing array of them going on in September! Ready to explore hot air balloons in Collierville, mimosas on Main Street, Latin culture in Overton Square, Cooper-Young, country blues, Germantown, or even jazz, funk, and soul, there’s a festival for everyone! Festivals are happening all over the city.
#8. Now you know Memphis is a hub for great music!
During September, musical greats like Gladys Knight, Lauren Daigle, Train, Moneybagg Yo, Lil Baby, and several other great bands will be featured at FedEx Forum, Graceland, and Overtown Park Shell! Get ready to belt out some tunes and get to grooving!
