I am Adwoa Adowaa Ofori Atta, a dynamic leader and passionate advocate for public
service from Ghana. My educational foundation began at Kumasi Girls Senior High School
and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), which grounded me
in sociology and social work. Currently, I am advancing my expertise by pursuing a
Master of Public Administration (MPA) at the University of Memphis on a fully funded
scholarship. Before this, I worked in the private sector as an Administrative Assistant
for Mining Process and Project Engineering at Sofoline, where I managed sensitive
project documentation, coordinated complex logistics and travel for engineers, and
served as the primary executive support, handling daily scheduling and external vendor
communication. Before that, during my National Service at the KNUST Department of
Nursing, I supported academic operations by managing student records, coordinating
faculty meetings, recording detailed minutes, and overseeing departmental resource
management. I am honored to serve as the President of the Graduate Students Association
(GSA), where I am committed to building a GSA that works for everyone. Drawing on
my training, I plan to champion a Student Health Success Plan, establish a Graduate
Peer Mentorship Network, and launch an Alumni Job Network to support long-term student
success. In addition to my leadership role, I am an entrepreneur and the founder of
Aspark Delicacies, a thriving food business in Ghana. My greatest passions are community
impact, project management, and creating opportunities that uplift others. I look
forward to eventually pursuing a PhD to gain the high-level research and policy expertise
necessary to drive impactful public sector reform and establish an NGO to support
orphans and the homeless, using my heart for service to create meaningful change.

I am Manso Frimpong, a recent graduate with a Master’s degree in Accounting Analytics
from the University of Memphis. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Business Administration
with a concentration in Finance. As the current Executive Vice President of the Graduate

featuring local and Fortune Company speakers. I also contributed to community service
through partnerships with Food Banks, Youth Villages, and other organizations. Earlier,
I held roles as a student auditor for the Student Representative Council and the Traditional
Hall (Atwima) during the 2019/2020 academic year at the University of Education, Winneba.
I am passionate about fostering collaboration with executive teams to strengthen the
GSA and empower graduate students to excel in their careers.
Vice President of Student Engagement: Samuel Nii Kpakpo Brown
I’m a graduate student at the Department of Sociology. I believe graduate school should
be more than just deadlines and dissertations; it should also feel supportive and
connected. My academic training has shaped how I think about advocacy, equity, and
community, but my everyday interactions with fellow graduate students have shown me
just how important it is to feel heard and supported. As Vice President of Student
Engagement for the Graduate Student Association, I’m passionate about strengthening
communication between students and leadership, supporting initiatives that improve
academic and professional life, and creating spaces where graduate students can build
community, share ideas, and breathe a little. My goal is to help make graduate school
challenging but never isolating and to ensure that student voices truly matter.
