About Kristil Davis
Kristil Davis joined the University in 2012 and currently serves as the Director of HR Strategic Initiatives & Talent Management, partnering with leaders to implement strategic change initiatives. She has more than 15+ years of experience as a human resources professional, working in both public and private organizations including Comcast, Randstad Staffing and Recruiting Services and First Horizon Bank. Her background includes experiences with talent management, strategic business planning, compensation, employee development, employee engagement and employee relations. During her time with the university, she’s been instrumental in the creation of the HR Service Center and the implementation the new HR Business Partner model. She’s spearheaded an Access & Equity grant from the Tennessee Board of Regents focused on developing career counseling and career development programs for under-represented employees at both the UofM and Southwest Tennessee Community College. Additionally, she served as a key participant in a national recruitment search for underrepresented youth that spotlighted the professional development opportunities at the University of Memphis.
Kristil has a proven success with establishing successful relationships with stakeholders at all levels throughout the university, working collaboratively to develop and align HR strategies focused on overall business objectives.
Kristil is an active participant in HR organizations such as the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR), where she previously served as TN Chapter President. She has received several awards such as the SHRM Memphis HR Professional of the year and the TIAA Excellence Business & Finance Award.
Kristil is SHRM-CP certified and holds a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from Webster University and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga.
