Communication Skills for Internationals 1

May 18 - June 24
Tuesday and Thursday Evenings, 6:00 - 8:00
Location: University of Memphis International Center, 2nd floor
Cost: $240 (First-time application Fee: $25; Parking Tag: $14)
Beginning-Level Students
Students will practice their listening and speaking skills in English, including vocabulary development and grammar. Communication Skills for Internationals 2 is not required for this course and material covered in this course will be different.

Improve Your Pronunciation

May 17 - June 23
Monday and Wednesday Afternoons, 1:00 - 3:00
Location:  University of Memphis International Center, 2nd floor
Cost: $240 (First-time application Fee: $25; Parking Tag: $14)
All Levels
The goal for our students is for them to be understood in every-day situations.  Work on your English pronunciation skills with an experienced American instructor.

Enhance Your Writing Skills

May 17 - June 23
Monday and Wednesday Mornings, 10:00 - 12:00
Location:  University of Memphis International Center, 2nd floor
Cost: $240 (First-time application Fee: $25; Parking Tag: $14)
Intermediate - Advanced Level Students
This class will introduce the basics of writing good sentences, well-organized paragraphs, and short essays. Time will also be spent on grammar that is essential for writing at any level.  Students will receive individual attention from the instructor to focus on their unique writing issues.

Next-Level Communication

May 18 - June 24
Tuesday and Thursday Mornings, 9:00 - 11:00
Location:  University of Memphis International Center, 2nd floor
Cost: $240 (First-time application Fee: $25; Parking Tag: $14)
Intermediate - Advanced Level Students
This class offers students the opportunity to improve both listening and speaking skills. Students will listen to short talks on topics relevant to the culture and the class. Students will also participate in group discussions on current topics and learn to effectively lead a small group.
