The undergraduate (BBA) degree with a major in MIS has as its goal to produce graduates who are able to function in entry-level information systems positions and who have the basis for continued career growth. Specific MIS courses included in the undergraduate program cover topics such as programming languages, technology involved in computer hardware and system software, methods of analyzing and developing business systems, data management techniques, networking and telecommunications technology, and the management of an entire organization's information resources.

To qualify for the Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) degree with major in Management Information Systems, offered by the Fogelman College of Business and Economics, the student must:
- Complete a minimum of 120 semester hours that include:

- Lower-Division Business Core Requirements
- Upper-Division Business Core Requirements
- Major Requirements
- Electives
- Obtain a minimum overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.00

- Communication = 9 hours
- Humanities / Fine Arts = 9 hours (At least one course must be in literature.)
- Social / Behavioral Sciences = 6 hours
- History = 6 hours
- Natural Sciences = 8 hours
