  • Professor Emeritus of Mathematics George A. Anastassiou, participated in the MDPI "The 1st International Online Conference in Fractal & Fractional", held online during 13-15 April of 2026. He was also a keynote speaker in Section 5: "Fractional Calculus in Machine Learning: Applications and Challenges", where he delivered the paper "Fractional case of Composition of Activation functions and the reduction to finite domain."
  • Dr. G. Anastassiou also was an one hour invited speaker in the international conference "Recent Advances in Mathematical Sciences and its Applications (RAMSA-2026)", held in "Jaypee Institute of Information Technology", Noida, India, 2-20-2026. Title of lecture: "GENERALIZED LOGISTIC NEURAL NETWORKS AS POSITIVE LINEAR OPERATORS".

  • January 3–7, 2026: Attended the Annual Meeting of the American Mathematical Society in Washington, D.C., delivering a one-hour invited lecture titled "Neural Networks as Positive Linear Operators."
