Dr. Danielle Gunter Announced as the Undergraduate Program Director

On March 25, LCON announced that Dr. Danielle Gunter accepted the position of Undergraduate Program Director at our college, effective May 9th. In her new role, Dr. Gunter will oversee the traditional, accelerated, and RN-BSN programs, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to our institution.

A proud 2002 alumna of LCON, Dr. Gunter joined us in 2021 as the Director of Clinical Education. During her tenure, she has significantly expanded the number of active clinical sites, preceptors, and adjunct faculty available across all programs. In the 2022-2023 academic year, she served as the interim director of simulation, where she spearheaded the development of new simulations for undergraduate adult health courses, enhancing the learning experience for our students.

Currently serving as the chair of the LCON Curriculum Committee, Dr. Gunter is deeply involved in shaping the academic direction of our programs. Her dedication to professional development is evident through her active membership in organizations such as the Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Nurses (APHON), where she has served as the chair of the EBP and Research Committee for the last four years.

With her dedication to professional development and commitment to excellence in nursing education, Dr. Gunter is well-positioned to lead our undergraduate programs to new heights.
