Self-Advising(Undergraduate Students Only)

Students are required to consult their academic advisor each semester prior to registration to have their Alternate PIN cleared. The department does allow undergraduate students to self-advise.

Students who meet the following criteria may submit the Political Science Self-Adivising Form:

  • You must have a declared major in Political Science.
  • You must be in good academic standing (no academic warning or probation).
  • You must have a minimum overall GPA of a 2.25.

Students with any of the following must schedule an appointment with their advisor:

  • Student athletes
  • Graduating seniors
  • Students who are new to the Department of Political Science
    • If you are not a current Political Science major, please DO NOT submit this form.
    • If you wish to request an advising appointment, DO NOT submit this form.
      • Instead you should book an appointment with your assigned advisor through Navigate.
    • If you are a graduate student or taking 6000 – 7000 level courses DO NOT submit this form.
      • Contact the Graduate Advisor for advising information.
