Morgan Ollinger

Master of Science in Biostatistics (MS)

Hello! My name is Morgan Ollinger. I am enrolled in the MS Biostatistics program, with an anticipated graduation after the fall 2025 semester. I also work as an optometrist at Southern College of Optometry. My time at the University of Memphis School of Public Health has been immensely important to my personal and professional growth. The courses I have taken have helped me to be more informed and conscientious in the way that I care for patients in the Memphis community. In addition, this training has helped me to design and implement more effective research studies that may benefit the community in the future.

One of my favorite aspects of learning through the School of Public Health is the opportunity to engage with students from a number of programs and backgrounds. This often leads to examining the course material through several different lenses, which allows for better learning and application of these public health concepts.

I am very happy to be involved with the University of Memphis School of Public Health. The knowledge one gains here opens so many doors to be involved in the community, and provides the tools needed to address contemporary public health problems. For healthcare workers, these courses help provide a bridge between caring for a patient and caring for a community, and I would highly recommend this program to anyone interested in aligning their career with the best interest of the people around them.
