Faculty and Students to Represent SPH at 2026 Tennessee Public Health Association Annual Meeting

The University of Memphis School of Public Health will be well-represented at the Tennessee Public Health Association’s Annual Meeting on September 23-25, 2026 in Murfreesboro, TN.
SPH Dean and Distinguished Professor Dr. Ashish Joshi will be the Keynote Speaker, Wednesday, September 23, speaking on “Framing Responsible and Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence in Public Health Education, Research and Practice.” He also will serve as a Plenary Panelist on Thursday, September 24 on the topic “Public Health and AI in Tennessee: Responsible, Effective, and Ethical Use.” 

Eleven SPH students (including undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students) received generous scholarships from the Tennessee Department of Health to attend the annual meeting and will benefit from networking with national leaders and public health professionals across the state. Doctoral students and faculty members will present their research through a total of 3 oral presentations and 5 posters.
