Approximately 30 participants are expected to attend in person, with an additional 10–15 joining virtually for the two-day event, which is organized by the federal leadership of the ANSS program.

CERI serves as one of only 13 regional network operators within the Advanced National Seismic System, a nationwide initiative led by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) to strengthen earthquake monitoring, hazard assessment, and public safety efforts across the United States.

Typically held at ANSS headquarters in Golden, Colorado, this year’s meeting being hosted in Memphis reflects CERI’s growing national visibility and leadership in seismic research and earthquake hazard mitigation.

Meetings and presentations will take place in the Fishbowl at the FedEx Institute of Technology, with attendees also participating in a showcase tour of CERI’s facilities on the afternoon of June 5.

The agenda includes a full day of technical and operational discussions on June 4, followed by presentations from CERI and regional partners on June 5 focused on earthquake hazards, seismic monitoring, risk assessment, and emerging challenges in the field.

As a nationally recognized leader in earthquake research, CERI continues to play a critical role in advancing seismic monitoring technologies, improving hazard preparedness, and supporting public safety initiatives throughout the Mid-South and beyond.
