FedEx Institute of Technology Launches AI Fundamentals Immersive Training Program

the FedEx Institute of Technology is helping professionals build the skills needed
to understand and effectively leverage this rapidly evolving technology.
The AI Fundamentals Immersive is a one-day training experience, part of a larger AI Driver's License training program launching this fall, designed to provide practical, accessible AI education for professionals across all industries and experience levels. Hosted by the FedEx Institute of Technology and led by leading researchers and industry practitioners, the program focuses on building foundational AI knowledge while emphasizing responsible and effective implementation.
Participants will gain a working understanding of key AI concepts, terminology, and applications, along with hands-on experience using AI tools to solve real-world challenges. The course also explores organizational readiness, helping leaders and teams understand how AI can be strategically integrated into business operations and decision-making processes.
Designed for executives, managers, entrepreneurs, innovators, and professionals from any field, the program requires no technical background. Through interactive learning experiences, attendees will develop practical skills in AI prompting, critical evaluation of AI-generated content, and responsible AI usage.
A key component of the immersive focuses on leadership and organizational transformation. Participants will examine AI implementation frameworks, workforce readiness strategies, governance considerations, and approaches for managing organizational change as AI adoption accelerates across sectors.
The curriculum also emphasizes responsible and ethical AI practices, including data protection, risk awareness, policy compliance, and understanding the human factors that influence AI trust and adoption. Upon completion, participants will receive an “AI Learner’s Permit” recognizing their successful completion of the training and their commitment to building AI literacy.
