Dr. Eddie Jacobs, professor in Electrical Computer Engineering in the department of Center for Applied Earth Science and Engineering Research (CAESAR), was awarded $1,360,000 from United States Army Research Laboratory (ARL) for his project “MUAS ISR System Research and Development”.

Dr. Mitchell Withers, associate research professor in the department of Center for Earthquake research and information (CERI), was awarded $792,001 from U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) for his project “Operation of the CERI Seismic Network 2025-2029”.

Dr. Daniel Foti, assistant professor and graduate program coordinator in the department of Mechanical Engineering, was awarded $415,000 from the Office of Naval Research (ONR) for his project ”Cavitation Erosion: Scaling Analysis and Characterization”.

Dr. James Murphy, Professor in the department of Psychology, was awarded $294,990 from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for his project “Behavioral economic and wellness-based approaches for reducing alcohol use and consequences among diverse community-dwelling emerging adults”.

Dr. William Thompson, associate professor of French and director of International and Global Studies in the department of World Languages and Literatures, was awarded $226,245 from the Tennessee Department of Education (TDoEd) for his project “Governor's School for International Studies”.

Mrs. Mary Tucker, chief policy & compliance officer for the University School, was awarded $138,325 from the U.S. Department of Education (US DoEd) for her projects “FY25 School-Wide Pool” and $129,295 “STATE GRANT - B (611)Special Education Grants to States - IDEA”.

Dr. Latrice Pichon, professor of Social and Behavioral Sciences in the school of Public Health, was awarded $101,724 from National Institutes of Health (NIH) for her project “A Multimethod Assessment of the Clinical, Economic & Social Impact of the Rejection of Federal HIV Prevention Funds in Tennessee”.

Dr. Jeffrey Marchetta, professor and undergraduate coordinator in the department of Mechanical Engineering, was awarded $50,000 from the U.S. Department of Energy (US DoE) for his project “TN 3-Star Industrial Assessment Center”.

Dr. Carolyn Kaldon, research associate professor in The Center for Research in Educational Policy (CREP), was awarded $30,000 from the Women's Foundation for a Greater Memphis for her project “WFGM Vision 2025: Evaluation 2024-2025”.

Dr. Matthew Smeltzer, associate professor in the Division of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Environmental Health in the School of Public Health, was awarded $20,095 from National Institutes of Health (NIH) for his project “Predicting Progression of Chronic Kidney Disease in Sickle Cell Anemia Using Machine Learning Models (PREMIER)”.

Dr. Leigh Boardman, assistant professor in the department of Biological Sciences, was awarded $14,884 from The Tennessee Corn Promotion Board (TCPB) for her project “Leveraging physiology and microbiomes for novel southern corn rootworm control options”.

Mr. Michael Hagge, professor and chair in the department of Architecture, was awarded $10,698 from Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance for his project “Department of Architecture State of Tennessee Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners block grant”.

Dr. Youngsang Kwon, associate professor in the department Earth sciences, was awarded $10,000 from Protect Our Aquifer (POA) for his project “Protect our Aquifer GIS Dashboard”.
