First Year Senate
What is First Year Senate?
The First Year Senate is composed of first-year students who are selected through an application and interview process conducted by the SGA Executive Officers and First Year Senate Advisors.
Serving as the voice of the first-year student body, members learn parliamentary procedure, the legislative process, and how to draft and present legislation before the Senate.
Each First Year Senator is paired with an experienced Senator who serves as a mentor, providing guidance and support throughout their first year in the Student Government Association.
