Parent & Family Weekend FAQs: Frequently Asked Questions

General and Registration

When is Parent & Family Weekend 2025?
Parent & Family Weekend 2025 is Friday, October 24 through Sunday, October 26 in conjunction with the UofM Homecoming! That means more energy, more events, and even more ways to show your Tiger pride. From the roar of game day to special campus traditions, this will be a weekend to remember.

I have the Go Blue Package. Do I need to attend all of the events on the schedule?
To receive the maximum value for your package, we encourage attendees to make plans to attend all of our signature events. Regardless, attendance is not required and you can feel free to choose the events that you want to attend with or without your student. This weekend is yours to spend with your student and enjoy the University of Memphis. Parent and Family Weekend name badges must be visibly worn and presented to staff to access any and all events that are a part of Parent and Family Weekend.

How do I register, and what is included with my registration package?
Each family member who wants to participate in Parent & Family Weekend must register online on the University's Athletic ticketing site FEVO. The registration fee allows participation in all of the activities on the schedule of events unless otherwise noted. The all-inclusive registration package is available for adult and youth participants. Learn More/Register>>

Do I need to buy a package for my UofM student? What events can my UofM student attend?
The short answer is - No, Your UofM student is included with your registration. Your package includes access for your enrolled UofM student to Parent and Family Weekend events, but does not include a t-shirt for them or a football game ticket for them. Students can attend the game for free with their UofM ID, but must sit in the designated student section. If you would like your student to sit with you at the football game in the PFW section, you will need to purchase a separate football ticket for them. You may also purchase a t-shirt for your student during the registration process.

Can I bring my younger children and siblings?
Parent and Family Weekend is for the entire family and not just parents. Many families will bring siblings of all ages, grandparents, aunts, uncles... everyone! Please keep in mind that all family members, regardless of age, must be registered in order to participate in the scheduled events.

A separate Youth Package is available for children ages 4-12 years old. It includes entrance to all Parent & Family Weekend events, 1 tailgate ticket, and 1 football ticket in the Parent & Family Weekend section. However, it DOES NOT include a T-shirt (can be purchased separately). Youth 13 years and older will need to register for the Go Tigers Go package. Youth must attend with a parent, family member or guardian. Children 3 years old and younger can attend the football game for free as long as they sit on the lap of the parent or guardian.

We have another guest who would like to attend just one event, so can I buy a separate ticket for them to attend that one event?
No. All of our events are exclusive to the Parent & Family Weekend (PFW) registration packages. We do not sell tickets for entry to individual events, unless otherwise noted. You are welcome to purchase a Parent and Family Weekend package for each family member and friends who would like to attend one or all PFW events.

Are refunds available?
Due to the nature of event planning and budget obligations, we are unable to offer refunds for Parent & Family Weekend registration. All sales are final.

During the Weekend

Can my student pick up my packet for me during check-in?
Yes, if you are unable to attend packet pickup for the weekend, your student can pick up your materials. Please make sure your student brings their student ID and a copy of your confirmation email.

When should we plan to arrive? Do families stay for the whole weekend?
Parents and families are encouraged to check-in on Thursday evening (4:30-7pm) so they can enjoy the planned events that begin on Friday morning. Events are scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so plan to stay for the entire weekend!

What if I arrive after check-in ends on Friday? What if I can't come until Saturday?
If you cannot arrive at the regular check-in times, please encourage your student to pick up your materials on your behalf.  If you are unable to check-in until Saturday, please check the Schedule of Events for time and location of Saturday morning late check-in.

Where do I park on campus?
Complimentary parking (with in/out privileges) on the main UofM campus will be available in the Zach Curlin parking garage (PG2 on map) on that Friday starting at 7:00 am and on that Sunday starting at 7am. No parking pass or priority permit sticker will be required to enter/exit the Zach Curlin garage on those days. The regular $3.50 per hour garage parking fees will be charged for parking on Saturday since all Parent and Family Weekend events are held off-campus at the Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium and Tiger Lane on that day.

What can we do while in Memphis?

Known especially for its special brand of smoky barbecue and musical tradition second to none, the River City's appeal is hard not to find.
