Annual University of Memphis Vertically Integrated Projects Day

The annual Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) Day at the University of Memphis is an annual research showcase that features multi-year, faculty-led research teams of undergraduate students. The program allows students, from freshmen to seniors, to earn academic credit while participating in sustained, authentic research alongside graduate mentors. The University of Memphis is home to the only VIP program in the Mid-South and in the State of Tennessee. Through the program's first three years, 82 undergraduates, 14 graduate mentors, and eight faculty mentors participated in Herff's VIP Day.
Students enroll in progress VIP courses for 3-4 consecutivesemesters and participate at the appropriate level of experience to earn 3.0 credit hours.
This course is intended for freshmen in the Honors program; students are expected to maintain involvement with the same project team for multiple terms. This course satisfies the Honors Forum UNHP 1100.
This course is intended for introductory team members; students are expected to maintain involvement with the same project team for multiple terms.
This course is intended for intermediate team members or students who have working knowledge of the project topic.
This course is intended for advanced team members with two or more semesters of experience on the same project.
