About Dr. Eric Bailey II

Dr. Eric Bailey II serves as the Assistant Vice President of Student Academic Success. In this role, he conducts administrative and programmatic oversight for the following departments: Academic Coaching for Excellence (ACE), Center for Academic Retention and Enrichment Services (CARES), Educational Support Programs, TRiO, Upward Bound, Office of Professional & Academic Testing Services. He also serves as chair of the African American Male Academy, Green Fee Committee, and Student Activity Fee Allocation committees. He received the Bachelor of Liberal Studies (Business/Music Business) degree from the University Memphis and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Keller Graduate School of Management. Eric has worked in higher education for 11+ years holding positions in Admissions, Academic Counseling, Athletic Advising, Career Services, and Multicultural Affairs. Eric completed his Doctor of Education at the University of Memphis in Higher & Adult Education Leadership in August 2017 and accepted the role of Assistant Dean of Nursing Students for the Loewenberg College of Nursing. In April 2021, he became the inaugural Director of Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center's College of Pharmacy. He also serves as an Affiliate Faculty for the Department of Higher Education within the College of Education at the University of Memphis. Professional affiliations include: SACSA, NASPA, and NCDA.
