December 2015 Commencement

December 1, 2015 - The University of Memphis held its fall Commencement on Sunday, Dec. 13, and awarded 1,607 degrees, including 43 doctorates, in two ceremonies at FedExForum.

During the noon Commencement, the College of Arts & Sciences, College of Communication and Fine Arts, the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and University College conferred degrees. At 4:30 p.m., degrees were awarded to graduates of the Fogelman College of Business & Economics, College of Education, Herff College of Engineering, Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality & Resort Management, Loewenberg College of Nursing, School of Communication Sciences and Disorders, and School of Public Health.

The speaker at both sessions was Robert B. "Rob" Carter, executive vice president of FedEx Information Services and chief information officer of FedEx Corp. He is a member of the five-person Executive Committee, which plans and executes the corporation's strategic business activities. Carter also serves as co-CEO of FedEx Services, the shared service entity responsible for sales, marketing, information technology and customer service.
