McCormick graduated from Fogelman College of Business & Economics in 1982 with a degree in Finance. He credits his many accomplishments to FCBE and believes his education has opened many doors for him. He said, “The education I received in Finance has allowed me to pursue many opportunities.”

Being a Memphis native, he has had a professional career in business, government, and non-profit management. “I have tried to stay involved in our community and that’s what attracted me to the Garden. It is a great asset for Memphis and I’m excited about being a part of its next chapter,” said McCormick.”
