Dr. Ayman Samak is an Assistant Professor of Teaching in Finance at the University
of Memphis. He earned his Ph.D. in International Business Administration with a concentration
in Finance and his MBA in International Business from Texas A&M International University.
His academic and professional experience across multiple international settings gives
him a broad cross-cultural perspective on finance and business.
Dr. Samak’s research focuses on corporate finance, corporate litigation, governance,
risk management, banking, and firm behavior. His work has been published in Finance Research Letters, The International Trade Journal and other peer-reviewed journals, and has received several conference research awards.
He has taught Introduction to Finance, Portfolio Management, Commercial Bank Management,
Personal Financial Management and Financial Management in both in-person and online
formats. His teaching connects financial theory with data analysis, current business
issues and practical decision-making.
