Memphis Symphony Fellowship String Quartet 

The Memphis Symphony Fellowship String Quartet is a prestigious performance program that consists of selected exceptional string players. The program is a collaborative effort with the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music and the Memphis Symphony Orchestra

This opportunity is available for graduate and post-graduate students who play the violin, viola, and cello players who come from African- American and Latino communities that are historically underrepresented in classical music. Students who are selected for this program will receive a full-tuition scholarship while enrolled in the Master of Music, Doctor of Musical Arts, or Artistic Diploma programs. They will also receive compensation on a per-season basis while performing with the MSO. 

Through the collaboration with the MSO, the Fellows will get multiple opportunities to perform with the professional ensemble, along with additional performances in solo and chamber settings for community engagement and education.
