Kimberly Roberts, DNP, APRN, FNP-C

Professional Overview
Before beginning with the University of Memphis Loewenberg College of Nursing in February
of 2020, Kimberly Roberts, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, worked as a family nurse practitioner
on a full-time basis in a rural health care clinic. She continues to work in this
FNP role on a part-time basis.
Prior to completing her education at LCON in the MSN program in the FNP track in 2015,
she worked for 21 years in a large acute care hospital in various roles including
staff nurse, clinical manager and department director. During this time, she completed
her Bachelors in Nursing degree through LCON in 2013.
Dr. Roberts earned the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2022 from Abilene Christian
University in Abilene, Texas. Her quality improvement project was on implementing
a screening process for social determinants of health in a rural primary care clinic.
Dr. Roberts joined LCON as Clinical Coordinator for the Human Resources and Services
Administration grant for the Advanced Nurse Education Workforce. The role in this
grant includes placing grant trainees in longitudinal clinical experiences in rural
health care clinics as well as an instructor for a pediatric clinical course in the
FNP track.
