Overview

Lowe's Retail Emmersion Program

The Fogelman College of Business and Economics (FCBE), the Center for Professional Career Development (CPCD) and Lowe’s are partnering to offer 15 outstanding business students an exclusive, all-access look inside one of the nation’s leading retailers.

 

What's Included

  • Two-day, all-expenses-paid immersive experience in Mooresville and Charlotte, NC (Mar 5-6, 2026)

  • Tours of Lowe’s Headquarters, Design Lab and Tech Hub 

  • Learn from industry experts providing exposure across the enterprise and insight into the inner workings of a large retailer

  • Exclusive Q&A session with Marvin Ellison (FCBE Alumnus, BBA ’89), Chairman and CEO of Lowe’s

 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Full-time FCBE major (Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, Management Information Systems, Marketing and Supply Chain Management)

  • FCBE Junior student in good academic standing GPA 3.0+

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and/or 20+ volunteer hours of philanthropic service

    • It is preferred that only one reference is from a UofM professor/employee.
    • The second reference should be from someone in the community.

  4. Statement of Purpose/Essay (250-500 words)
    • Demonstrating any leadership roles you have held, your commitment to philanthropic endeavors and/or why you believe participation in this program will positively benefit you, both personally and professionally.

Application Deadline is October 15, 2025.
