The University of Memphis School of Public Health (UofM SPH) hosted its annual faculty and staff retreat which provided an enriching and insightful day of friendship and connection, helping build the path, together, towards advancing the SPH CARES mission and vision and making the UofM SPH one of the most impactful schools of public health.

The University of Memphis Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, Dr. David Russomanno was in attendance and provided the opening remarks of the retreat, his inspiring words and continued support toward the School of Public Health set the stage for a collaborative and successful day.

During the event, SPH Dean and distinguished professor, Dr. Ashish Joshi addressed SPH faculty and staff, emphasizing that “Our School's success is built on the collective efforts of our faculty and staff. Through your dedication, innovation, and commitment to excellence, we have expanded educational opportunities, strengthened research and scholarship, enhanced community partnerships, supported student success, and advanced our mission of improving population health. The progress we have made is a direct result of the talents, expertise, and collaboration that each of you brings to our School every day.”

The School of Public Health would like to extend gratitude and appreciation to all those who made our retreat a successful one.
