RE-AIM Public Health Magazine Issue #5, 2025-26
Please enjoy the 2025-2026 edition of RE-AIM Public Health IDEAS. Community engagement efforts of the University of Memphis School of Public Health (UofM SPH) is highlighted in the magazine.
The impact by SPH continues to mold the public health journeys of our students and alumni, while growing the “glocal” partnerships we’ve built across Memphis, the State of Tennessee and around the world.
The school expanded its research portfolio with nearly a 10% increase in funding, strengthened partnerships in more than a dozen countries, and improved its national ranking from No. 99 to No. 74 among graduate public health programs.
Key accomplishments included launching the PH-Changemakers Initiative, which provides students with mini-grants to develop innovative public health solutions, and creating the nation’s first Public Health on Wheels program, offering hands-on community-based learning experiences. SPH also expanded its international Public Health Clubs to India and Egypt, reaching more than 1,500 students.
The school further strengthened its global presence by hosting the 2026 RE-AIM Public Health IDEAS Hackathon, which brought together students from 11 countries, and the Public Health Diplomacy Summit, which welcomed participants from 20 countries. These achievements reflect SPH’s commitment to innovation, student engagement, research excellence, and meaningful local and global public health impact.
