The NSF GRFP program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students who are pursuing full-time research-based master's and doctoral degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) or in STEM education. Each Fellowship provides three years of support over a five-year fellowship period. For each of the three years of support, NSF provides a $37,000 stipend and $12,000 cost of education allowance to the graduate degree-granting institution of higher education for each Fellow who uses the support in a fellowship year.

GRFP applications are due in mid-October and the deadline varies by directorate:
October 17: Life Sciences
October 18: Computer and Information Science and Engineering, Materials Research, Psychology, Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences, STEM Education and Learning
October 20: Engineering

The biosketch is required for all NIH grants and provides an opportunity to not only showcase your academic accomplishments, but also provide detailed information about why you are uniquely qualified to do the research proposed. This workshop will provide updated guidance conforming with current guide notices and NIH SF424 Forms G.

Presentation slides as well as recordings of the workshop sessions will be made available on the Training page of the Division of Research and Innovation website (https://www.memphis.edu/research/training/).
