Global Foundations in Costa Rica
Destination: San Jose, Costa Rica

Program Description: Global Foundations in Costa Rica is designed to provide elective credits for TRIO participants. You can choose from a variety of courses taught in English at Veritas University in San Jose, Costa Rica. These three credits will transfer back to your UofM degree at the end of the summer.
Program Cost Includes:
- $350 Application fee
- 3 credit hours of tuition at Veritas University
- Homestay with a single room
- Breakfast and dinner daily
- Airport pickup
- Course materials/books
- Cultural tours and excursions
- On-site advisor
The program fee does not include international round-trip airfare (approx. $800), medical insurance (approx. $45), housing security deposit ($300 refundable), daily lunches, optional excursions, and personal expenses.

Global Foundations in Italy
Destination: Florence, Italy
Program Cost: $2,950
Duration: May 13, 2024 thru May 30, 2024

Program Description: Students have the opportunity to enroll in summer academic courses at any of the Palazzi campuses. During this program students will partake in one of Europe's most breathtaking cities renowned for the Renaissance movement. These three credits will transfer back to your UofM degree at the end of the summer.
Program Cost Includes:
- Tuition (one 3-credit hour course)
- $350 Application fee
- Student service fee
- Housing in multiple bedrooms in a shared apartment (Single room supplement is $210)
- Use of gym and gym courses
- Internet access and Wi-Fi in all school facilities (not guaranteed in housing)
- Greeting at Florence Airport (does not include cost of metro ticket or taxi; pick up and transport available at additional cost)
- On-site advisor
- Use of library and library equipment
