About Steve Whistler
Steve Whistler joined the staff of Campus Recreation at the University of Memphis in 2002, bringing with him a background in athletics, fitness and facilities. From 2002 to 2018, he served as the Assistant Director for Campus Recreation, with responsibilities including facilities, fitness, aquatics and administration. In June of 2019, Steve assumed the role of Executive Director of Campus Recreation. Since this time, he has been instrumental in guiding Campus Recreation through the progressive expansion of facilities, including the addition of the R. Brad Martin Student Wellness Center. He continues to lead the way toward ever greater program offerings and excellence in customer service.
