Herff College of Engineering
Engineering Day at Herff
Every year, the Herff College of Engineering hosts eDay, providing students from the Mid-South the opportunity to visit the University of Memphis and participate in activities and competitions designed to get them more interested in engineering and STEM-related programs.
Get ready — eDay 2026 is coming, and now it’s on Friday!
We are excited to announce eDay 2026 will be held Friday, February 27, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. We’ve moved the event to Friday to make it easier for schools to join us for a full day of exploration. The change also supports transportation needs and opens the door for more field trips, homeschool groups and after-school programs to take part. Plus, we’ve extended our hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. so everyone has plenty of time to experience the fun.
Expect more than ever this year with refreshed competitions, new hands-on activities and live demonstrations throughout our engineering spaces. We’re adding details regularly, so check back often and start planning your visit.
Lunch will be available from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Engineering Administration Building lobby (2nd floor). Meals are $5 each, and our convenience store will be open with snacks and drinks.
Check out our list of competitions and events.

The Herff eDay passport will provide the opportunity for one student from the elementary, middle, and high school levels to win a grand prize for the most areas visited. Passports will be given out during check in and returned to our special collection box, which will be in room 201 of the Engineering Administration Building.
