The Virtual Reality Experience Lab

Location: McWherter Library, 2nd Floor, Room 203 | Hours Available: 9AM-5PM
The Virtual Reality Experience Lab is available to UofM faculty, staff and students to learn about virtual reality and explore its applications for education, training, real-time assistance and entertainment. The VRE Lab includes a Meta Quest 3 headset and computer workstation, which offers various software, including Unity, Visual Studio and 3D Studio Max, allowing users to create VR/AR tools, develop software, and create art assets.
Before you can reserve the Virtual Reality Experience Lab, you first have to take the online orientation. Complete the online orientation to learn how to safely and effectively use the VR equipment and become familiar with lab policies and procedures.
Ready to explore virtual reality? Reserve time in the VRE Lab to use the Meta Quest 3 headset, computer workstation, and available VR development and creative software for academic, research, or creative projects.
